पास्का का पाँचवाँ सप्ताह

📒 पहला पाठ : प्रेरित-चरित 16:1-10

1) इसके बाद वह देरबे और लुस्त्रा पहुँचा। वहाँ तिमथी नामक एक शिष्य था, जो ईसाई यहूदी माता तथा यूनानी पिता का पुत्र था।

2) लुस्त्रा और इकोनियुम के भाइयों में उसका अच्छा नाम था।

3) पौलुस चाहता था कि वह यात्रा में उसका साथी बने। उस प्रदेश में रहने वाले यहूदियों के कारण उसने तिमथी का ख़तना कराया, क्योंकि सब जानते थे कि उसका पिता यूनानी है।

4) वे नगर-नगर जा कर येरुसालेम में प्रेरितों तथा उनके पालन का आदेश देते थे।

5) इस प्रकार कलीसियाओं का विश्वास दृढ़ होता जा रहा था और उनकी संख्या दिन-दिन बढ़ रही थी।

6) जब पवित्र आत्मा ने उन्हें एशिया में वचन का प्रचार करने से मना किया, तो उन्होंने फ्रुगिया तथा गलातिया का दौरा किया।

7) मुसिया के सीमान्तों पर पहुँच कर वे बिथुनिया जाने की तैयारी कर रहे थे कि ईसा के आत्मा ने उन्हें अनुमति नहीं दी।

8) इसलिए वे मुसिया पार कर त्रोआस आये।

9) वहाँ पौलुस ने रात को एक दिव्य दर्शन देखा। एक मकेदूनी उसके सामने खड़ा हो कर यह अनुरोध कर रहा था, ’’आप समुद्र पार कर मकेदूनिया आइए और हमारी सहायता कीजिए’’।

10) इस दर्शन के बाद हमने यह समझ कर तुरन्त मकेदूनिया जाने का प्रयत्न किया कि ईश्वर ने वहाँ सुसमाचार का प्रचार करने के लिए हमें बुलाया है।

📙 सुसमाचार : योहन 15:18-21

18) यदि संसार तुम लोगों से बैर करे, तो याद रखो कि तुम से पहले उसने मुझ से बैर किया।

19) यदि तुम संसार के होते, तो संसार तुम्हें अपना समझ कर प्यार करता। परन्तु तुम संसार के नहीं हो, क्योंकि मैंने तुम्हें संसार में से चुन लिया हैं। इसीलिये संसार तुम से बैर करता है।

20) मैंनें तुम से जो बात कही, उसे याद रखो- सेवक अपने स्वामी से बडा नहीं होता। यदि उन्होंने मुझे सताया, तो वे तुम्हें भी सतायेंगे। यदि उन्होंने मेरी शिक्षा का पालन किया तो वे तुम्हारी शिक्षा का भी पालन करेंगे।

21) वे यह सब मेरे नाम के कारण तुम लोगो के साथ करेंगे क्योंकि जिसने मुझे भेजा, उसे वे नहीं जानते।

📚 मनन-चिंतन

अपनी सार्वजनिक सेवकाई के दौरान, प्रभु येसु ने कई चमत्कार किए, बहुतों को चंगा किया और मानव गरिमा और जीवन को बहाल किया। उन्होंने प्रेम, सेवा और क्षमा के संदेश का प्रचार किया, जिसके लिए वे और उनके अनुयायी प्रशंसा और स्वीकृति के पात्र थे। हालांकि, अपेक्षित सराहना प्राप्त करने के बजाय, उन्हें विपरीत परिस्थितियों का सामना करना पड़ा। प्रभु येसु के चेले इस बात से अचंभित नहीं हुए, क्योंकि उन्होंने उन्हें पहले ही चेतावनी दे दी थी कि दुनिया में उन्हें किस तरह का विरोध सहना पड़ सकता है। यहाँ, शब्द ‘संसार’ संगठित समाज व्यवस्था को सन्दर्भित करता है जो कि ईश्वर के प्रति शत्रुतापूर्ण है और अंधकार की शक्तियों के द्वारा नियन्त्रित होता है।

चूंकि शिष्यों को प्रभु येसु ने चुना है और अब वे उनके हैं, इसलिए वे प्रेम, क्षमा, विनम्रता और सेवा के मूल्यों के आधार पर जीते हैं, और दुनिया के मूल्यों जैसे शक्ति प्रदर्शन, बदले की भावना, नियंत्रण और वर्चस्व का पालन करना आदि नहीं करते हैं। वे धारा के साथ नहीं जाते, लेकिन इसके खिलाफ तैरते हैं। शिष्य अपनी इस अलग पहचान से जो उन्हें दुनिया की निगाह में घृणित और संदेहास्पद बनाती है, न तो संकोच करते और न ही डरते हैं। संत पापा जॉन पौल द्वितीय हमें याद दिलाते हैं कि यदि हम पिता के साथ अपने संबंधों को गहरा करना चाहते हैं, तो हमें यह जानकर आश्चर्य नहीं करना चाहिए कि हमें गलत समझा जाता है, हमारा विरोध किया जाता है, या यहां तक कि हमारे विश्वास के लिए हमें सताया जाता है।

प्यारे साथियों, यदि हम बिना किसी घृणा, सताव, और विरोध का सामना करके जी रहे हैं, तो हमें अपने आप से पूछने की ज़रूरत है कि क्या मैं सुसमाचार के उसूलों पर चल रहा हूँ? क्या मैं धारा के विपरीत तैर रहा हूँ या उसके साथ बहा चला जा रहा हूँ?

📚 REFLECTION

During his public ministry, Jesus performed numerous miracles, healing many and restoring human dignity and life. He preached the message of love, service, and forgiveness, for which he and his followers deserved praise and acceptance. However, instead of receiving the expected appreciation, they faced the opposite. Jesus’ disciples were not taken aback by this reaction, as he had already warned them about the opposition they might encounter from the world.

Here, the term ‘world’ refers to the organized society system that is hostile to God and is controlled by the forces of darkness. Since the disciples have been chosen by Jesus and now belong to him, they live by the values of love, forgiveness, humility, and service, and do not adhere to the values of the world such as power, revenge, control, and domination. They do not go with the flow but rather swim against it. The disciples are not afraid to be different, which automatically makes them objects of hatred and suspicion from the world. Pope Saint John Paul II reminds us that if we seek to deepen our relationship with the Father, we should not be surprised to find that we are misunderstood, opposed, or even persecuted for our beliefs.

📚 मनन-चिंतन-2

आज माता कलिसिया फातिमा की माता मरियम का पर्व मनाती है। वास्तव में मई का यह पूरा महीना ही माता मरियम को समर्पित है। इसे रोज़री (माला विनती) का महीना भी कहा जाता है। यह त्योहार पुर्तगाल में सन 1917 में माता मरियम द्वारा तीन बच्चों, लूसिया, जसिन्टा और फ्रांसिस्को को दर्शन देने के याद में मनाया जाता है। माता मरियम का हर त्योहार उनके पुत्र प्रभु येसु की ओर इंगित करता है। अपने पुत्र प्रभु येसु द्वारा प्रारंभ किए गए मुक्ति कार्य में माता मरियम आज भी सक्रिय रूप से व्यस्त हैं। वे अपनी महिमा के लिए नहीं बल्कि ईश्वर की महिमा के लिए बेचैन हैं। प्रभु येसु को देखकर जब कोई भीड़ में से माता मरियम की बड़ाई करता है तो प्रभु येसु ईश्वर के प्रति माता मरियम के समर्पण की ओर इंगित करते हैं (देखिए लूकस 11:27-28)। निश्चय ही प्रभु येसु के लालन-पालन में माता मरियम का बहुत बड़ा योगदान है। प्रभु येसु का जो शरीर और रक्त हम मिस्सा बलिदान में ग्रहण करते हैं, वह उन्हीं माता मरियम के गर्भ में पला। प्रभु येसु की देह माता मरियम की देह से पोषित हुई थी, प्रभु येसु का रक्त माता मरियम के रक्त से जन्मा था। धन्य है ऐसी माँ और धन्य है उसका पुत्र महान!

📚 REFLECTION

Today mother church celebrates the feast of our lady of Fatima. In fact, the whole month of May is dedicated to the devotion to our lady mother Mary. This month is also called the rosary month. This feast was started in 1917 in Portugal where mother Mary appeared to three little children . Every feast of mother Mary points towards her son. The Salvation work that began with Jesus receives constant contribution from Mother Mary even today. Mother Mary is restless not for her own glorification but for the glorification of God. When someone praises his mother from the crowd while Jesus was preaching, Jesus indicates towards the dedication and sacrifice of his mother (ref Luke 11:27-28). Certainly, mother Mary had a large portion of contribution in the upbringing of Jesus. The body and blood of Jesus that we receive in the Holy Eucharist that body and blood has been formed in the womb of Mother Mary. The body of Jesus received its nourishment from the body of Mother Mary , the blood of Jesus was formed from the blood of Mother Mary. Blessed is such mother and blessed is her son!

📚 मनन-चिंतन- 3

नफरत एक ऐसा शब्द है जिससे मैं आमतौर पर बचने की कोशिश करता हूं क्योंकि यह मेरे मुंह में एक बुरा स्वाद छोड़ देता है और मेरे दिल के सिकुड़ने और मेरी आत्मा पर काले बादल छाने की शारीरिक अनुभूति को भड़का सकता है। हालाँकि, जब मैं कहता हूँ या सोचता हूँ कि 'मैं किसी से घृणा नहीं करता' या 'मैं घृणा से प्रभावित नहीं हूँ', संत पापा फ्राँसिस मुझे याद दिलाते हैं कि प्रेम का विपरीत घृणा नहीं है, बल्कि उदासीनता है। यह 'मैं संतुष्ट हूं' का रवैया है। मुझे किसी चीज की कमी नहीं है। मेरे पास सब कुछ है। मैंने इस जीवन और अगले जीवन में अपना स्थान सुनिश्चित किया है, क्योंकि मैं हर रविवार को मिस्सा में जाता हूं। मैं एक अच्छा ईसाई हूं। लेकिन होटेल से निकलते हुए, मैं दूसरी तरफ देखता हूँ [भीख माँगने के लिए हाथ उठाने वाली बेघर महिला की उपेक्षा करते हुए]।' आज मैं प्रार्थना करता हूँ कि मेरे दिल में किसी भी नफरत या उदासीनता को दूर करने का साहस हो ताकि मैं सहानुभूति और सांत्वना देने दूसरों तक पहुँच सकूँ और करुणा दिखाता रहूं ।

📚 REFLECTION

Jesus in today’s gospel warns us when He said: “If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first…. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you,” (vv. 18, 20). What does Jesus mean when he says “the world?” The “world” in Scripture refers to that society of people who are hostile towards God and opposed to His will. When Jesus talks of persecutions also, He was referring to the sufferings and persecutions His disciples would undergo at the hands of the Jews and the Romans in proclaiming His teachings. The “world” that rejects Jesus and His disciples can expect the same treatment. Jesus leaves no middle ground for his followers. We are either for Him or against Him, for His kingdom of light or for the kingdom of darkness.

Why have been Christians persecuted in the course of the centuries? When Christians say that Jesus Christ is Lord, they are saying that nobody else and nothing else is lord, and that creates enemies.

Suffering is part of human existence. It is because a life with Jesus is not a bed of roses. Thus, we should not pray for an easy life. Instead, we pray to become stronger persons in facing challenges of life and bring out the best that God has given us.

But today except in hostile non-Christian countries, the persecutions referred to by the Lord are no longer felt. In day-to-day life these may take the form of being ostracized.

📚 मनन-चिंतन - 4

प्रभु येसु ने अपने कार्यों और विशेष करके स्वर्गराज्य के फैलाव के लिए शिष्यों को चुनते है। वे उनके कार्य, रंग, रूप या धन दौलत को देखकर नहीं अपितु उनका ह्दय और उनके सरल जीवन का देखकर उन्हें चुनते है। आज के सुसमाचार में प्रभु येसु कहते है कि ‘मैने तुम्हें संसार से चुन लिया है’। सभी शिष्यगण अपने अपने कार्यो और जीवन में जी रहें थे। जब येसु उन्हें बुलाते है तो वे अपने कार्यों को छोड़कर उनके पीछे हो लेते है, येसु उन्हे उनके संसारिक कार्यो से छुड़ाकर एक नयें आध्यात्मिक कार्य के लिए चुनता है।

परंतु जब वे उन्हें चुनते है और स्वर्गराज्य के कार्यो में आगे लगाने की बात कहते है तो वे बताते है कि वे इस संसार के होते हुए भी इस संसार के नहीं होंगे अर्थात् उनका मन, विचार, बातचीत, रहन सहन इस संसार से परे हो जाएगा और इस कारण उन्हें संसार से घृणा और बैर सहना पड़ेगा।

प्रभु का संसार से लोगों का चुनना आज भी जारी है, वे सरल ह्दय और अपना जीवन उनको समर्पित करने वाले व्यक्तियों को चुनते है जिससे वे ईश्वर के कार्य में अपना जीवन दे सकें। हम प्रार्थना करें कि अधिक से अधिक लोग ईश्वर के द्वारा चुने जायें जिससे संसार में ईश्वर राज्य निरंतर फैलता जाये। आमेन!

📚 REFLECTION

In order to carry forward his work especially the spreading of God’s Kingdom Jesus chooses the disciples. He doesn’t choose them by seeing their work, colour, stature or wealth but he chose them by seeing their hearts and simple lives. In today’s gospel Jesus says, “I have chosen you out of the world.” All the disciples were living in their own world doing their own works. When Jesus calls them they leave their works and start following him. Jesus chooses them for the new spiritual work by making them to leave the worldly works.

But when he chooses and leads them for the work of Kingdom of heaven, he tells them that they being of this world will not be of this world, in other words their mind, thoughts, conversation, livelihood will be different from the others and because of this they have to bear the hostility and enemity from this world.

God continue to choose people even today, He chooses the people with simple hearts and lives so that they can surrender their lives for the work of God. Let’s pray that more and more people may be chosen by God so that God’s Kingdom may continue to spread in the world. Amen!
