संत मारकुस, सुसमाचार लेखक का त्योहार

📒 पहला पाठ :1पेत्रुस 5:5ब-14
तुम, नवयुवकों! अध्यक्षों की अधीनता स्वीकार करो। आप सब-के-सब नम्रतापूर्वक एक दूसरे की सेवा करें; क्योंकि ईश्वर घमण्डियों का विरोध करता, किन्तु विनम्र लोगों पर दया करता है।
6) आप शक्तिशाली ईश्वर के सामने विनम्र बने रहें, जिससे वह आप को उपयुक्त समय में ऊपर उठाये।
7) आप अपनी सारी चिन्ताएँ उस पर छोड़ दें, क्योंकि वह आपकी सुधि लेता है।
8) आप संयम रखें और जागते रहें! आपका शत्रु, शैतान, दहाड़ते हुए सिंह की तरह विचरता है और ढूँढ़ता रहता है कि किसे फाड़ खाये।
9) आप विश्वास में दृढ़ हो कर उसका सामना करें। आप जानते हैं कि संसार भर में आपके भाई भी इस प्रकार के दुःख भोग रहे हैं।
10) ईश्वर ने, जो सम्पूर्ण अनुग्रह का स्रोत है, आप लोगों को मसीह द्वारा अपनी शाश्वत महिमा का भागी बनने के लिए बुलाया। वह, आपके थोड़े ही समय तक दुःख भोगने के बाद, आप को परिपूर्ण, सुस्थिर, समर्थ तथा सुदृढ़ बनायेगा।
11) उसका सामर्थ्य अनन्त काल तक बना रहता है। आमेन!
12) मैंने आप लोगों को ढ़ारस बंधाने के लिए यह संक्षिप्त पत्र सिल्वानुस से लिखवाया है, जिन को मैं अपना विश्वसनीय भाई मानता हूँ। मैं आप को यह विश्वास दिलाता हूँ कि इस में जो लिखा हुआ है, वह ईश्वर का सच्चा अनुग्रह है। उस अनुग्रह में सुदृढ़ बने रहें।
13) बाबुल की कलीसिया के सदस्य, जो आपकी तरह ही ईश्वर के कृपापात्र हैं, और मेरा पुत्र मारकुस आप लोगों को नमस्कार कहते हैं।
14) प्रेम के चुम्बन से एक दूसरे का अभिवादन करें। मसीह के सच्चे भक्तों आप सबों को शांति।
📚 सुसमाचार : मारकुस 16:15-20
15) इसके बाद ईसा ने उन से कहा, "संसार के कोने-कोने में जाकर सारी सृष्टि को सुसमाचार सुनाओ।
16) जो विश्वास करेगा और बपतिस्मा ग्रहण करेगा, उसे मुक्ति मिलेगी। जो विश्वास नहीं करेगा, वह दोषी ठहराया जायेगा।
17) विश्वास करने वाले ये चमत्कार दिखाया करेंगे। वे मेरा नाम ले कर अपदूतों को निकालेंगे, नवीन भाषाएँ बोलेंगे।
18) और साँपों को उठा लेंगे। यदि वे विष पियेंगे, तो उस से उन्हें कोई हानि नहीं होगी। वे रोगियों पर हाथ रखेंगे और रोगी स्वस्थ हो जायेंगे।“
19) प्रभु ईसा अपने शिष्यों से बातें करने के बाद स्वर्ग में आरोहित कर लिये गये और ईश्वर के दाहिने विराजमान हो गये।
20) शिष्यों ने जा कर सर्वत्र सुसमाचार का प्रचार किया। प्रभु उनकी सहायता करते रहे और साथ-साथ घटित होने वाले चमत्कारों द्वारा उनकी शिक्षा को प्रमाणित करते रहे।
📚 मनन-चिंतन
आज हम सुसमाचार लेखक संत मारकुस का पर्व मनाते हैं। मारकुस येसु के सार्वजनिक प्रेरिताई कार्य, मृत्यु और पुनरुत्थान का विवरण लिखने वाले पहले व्यक्ति थे। उन्होंने अपने सुसमाचार में शिष्यों की विफलता पर प्रकाश डाले। उन्हें येसु की शिक्षा को समझने में असफल होने के रूप में चित्रित किया गया है, खासकर जब वह खुद को मानव पुत्र कहते हैं, जिन्हे अस्वीकार किया जाना, पीड़ा सहना और क्रूस पर मरना होगा। फिर भी, मारकुस के सुसमाचार में पुनर्जीवित येसु अपने शिष्यों के प्रति वफादार बने हुए हैं। जब हम प्रभु पर विश्वास नहीं करते, तब भी वे हमारे प्रति वफादार रहते है, वह हमारे साथ मौजूद रहते है। सुसमाचार उनके शिष्यों की नियुक्ति को प्रस्तुत करता है। हालाँकि यह अपने प्रिय शिष्यों के साथ येसु की भौतिक उपस्थिति का अंत था, यह उनके साथ येसु की उपस्थिति की एक नए तरीके से शुरुआत है। पुनर्जीवित प्रभु के आह्वान के जवाब में शिष्य हर जगह प्रचार कर रहे थे, और प्रभु उनके साथ काम कर रहे थे। येसु हमें आगे बढ़ने और सुसमाचार का प्रचार करने के लिए भी बुलाते हैं। वह हमें शिक्षक और उपचारक बनने के लिए बुलाते है। आइए हम दुखी लोगों को सांत्वना दें, अपने प्यार, देखभाल और सोच से दूसरे को चंगा करें, तथा नफरत और विभाजन के घावों पर मरहम लगाए ।

📚 REFLECTION
Today we celebrate the feast of Saint Mark the Evangelist. Mark was the first person to write an account of the pubic ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus. He highlighted in his gospel the failure of the disciples. They are portrayed as failing to understand Jesus’ teaching, especially when he speaks of himself as the Son of Man who must be rejected, suffer and die. Yet, in Mark’s gospel the risen Jesus remains faithful to his disciples. Even when we are unfaithful to the Lord, he remains faithful to us, he stays present with us. The gospel presents the commissioning of his disciples. While it was the end of Jesus' physical presence with his beloved disciples, it marked the beginning of Jesus' presence with them in a new way. The disciples were preaching everywhere in response to the risen Lord’s call, and that the Lord was working with them. Jesus also calls us to go forth and preach the Gospel. He calls us to be teachers and healers. Let us console the sorrowful, heal another with our love, care and concern, and bind the wounds of hatred and division.

विन्रमता एक ऐसा गुण है जो हममें प्रेम और सेवा करने का भाव उत्त्पन करता है। विन्रम लोग एक दूसरे का आदर करते तथा एक दूसरे को प्रोत्साहित करते हैं, ऐसे लोग समाज में बिरले ही मिलते हैं। प्रभु धमंड़ियों का विरोध करते, किन्तु विन्रम पर दया करते हैं। वह उसे उपयुक्त समय पर उपर उठाते हैं।
विन्रमता हमें दूसरों से प्रेम करने, उनकी सेवा एवं उनका आदर करने को सिखाती है। येसु भी शिष्यों को विन्रम बनकर कार्य करने तथा संसार के कोने-कोने में जाकर सारी सृष्टि को सुसमाचार सुनाने का आदेश देते हैं। वे जहाँ कही भी गये, प्रभु उनकी सहायता करते और उन्हें हर प्रकार के खतरों से बचाते हैं। क्या हम विनम्र हैं? आइये, हम विन्रमता से एक दूसरों का सम्मान करे।

📚 REFLECTION
Humility is such a quality that creates in us the feeling of love and service. Humble people respect each other and encourage each other, such people are rarely found in the society. The Lord opposes the arrogant, but shows mercy to the humble. He lifts them up at the right time.
Humility teaches us to love, serve and respect others. Jesus also orders the disciples to act humbly and to go to every corner of the world to preach the Gospel to all creation. Wherever they go, the Lord helps them and protects them from all kinds of dangers. Are we polite? Come, let us humbly respect each other.

बाइबिल में सबसे सशक्त संदेशों में से एक यह सत्य है कि ईश्वर अभिमानियों का विरोध करता है, लेकिन नम्र लोगों को अनुग्रह देता है। यह इतना महत्वपूर्ण संदेश है कि यह धर्मग्रथ में तीन बार इसका उल्लेख होता है, पहले नीतिवचन 3:34 में, और फिर दो बार प्रेरित याकूब और पेत्रुस ने अपने पत्रों में दोहराया और जिसे हम आज के पहले पाठ में पढ़ते हैं, "ईश्वर घमंडियो का विरोध करता है, परन्तु दीन पर अनुग्रह करता है।”
यह एक साधारण तथ्य है कि हमें निश्चित रूप से किसी ऐसी चीज का हिस्सा नहीं बनना चाहिए जिसका ईश्वर विरोध करता है। नम्र बने रहना बेहतर और सुरक्षित है जिसमें हम ईश्वर की कृपा प्राप्त करते हैं। लेकिन घमंड करने या विनम्र होने का वास्तव में क्या अर्थ है? बाइबिल में उज्जिय्याह नाम के राजा का जीवन और आचरण हमें नम्रता और अभिमान को समझने में मदद करेगा जो क्रमशः ईश्वर को प्रसन्न और क्रोधित करता है।
यहूदा का राजा राजा उज्जिय्याह अपने राजयकाल के आरम्भ में ऐसा काम करता था जिससे ईश्वर प्रसन्न होता था। दूसरा इतिहास 26:5 बताता है कि "उज़्ज़ीया ईश्वर के प्रति ईमान-दार रहा; और जब तक प्रभु के प्रति ईमानदार रहा, ईश्वर उसे सफलता देता रहा।" ईश्वर ने उसकी सहायता की और परिणामस्वरूप, उज्जिय्याह की ख्याति दूर-दूर तक फैल गई।
लेकिन, दुख की बात है, “जब वह [उज्जिय्याह] शक्तिशाली हो गया, उसका मन घमण्ड से फूल उठा और इस से उसका पतन हुआ। वह प्रभु, अपने ईश्वर के प्रति ईमानदार नहीं रहा। (2 इतिहास 26:16)। उज्जिय्याह ईश्वर के सामने धूप जलाने के लिये मन्दिर में गया, जो ईश्वर ने याजकोंके लिये निर्धारित किया था। उसने प्रभु की संहिता की अवज्ञा की, शायद अपने आप में यह निर्णय लिया कि उसकी स्वयं की महानता ने ऐसा करने का अधिकार अर्जित किया है। जब याजकों ने राजा से इस कृत्य के विषय में पूछा, तब उज्जिय्याह क्रोधित हुआ, और ईश्वर ने उसे कोढ़ से ग्रसित किया। उज्जिय्याह जीवन भर कोढ़ी बना रहा और अपनी मृत्यु तक एक अलग घर में रहा।
यह घटना इस सच्चाई को प्रदर्शित करती है कि जो अभिमानी हो जाते हैं वे गिर जाते हैं।
हम आज भले ही राजा न हों, लेकिन हम उनके उदाहरणों से सीख सकते हैं। हमारी सफलता या असफलता को निर्धारित करने वाला एक प्रमुख कारक यह है कि क्या हम घमंड या विनम्रता प्रदर्शित करते हैं। अपनी ताकत पर निर्भर रहने के बजाय, हमें नम्रता से मदद के लिए प्रभु की ओर देखना चाहिए।
स्वभाव से, हम घमंडी लोग हैं, लेकिन हम परमेश्वर की सहायता से नम्रता के मार्ग पर चल सकते हैं। "इसलिये आप शक्तिशाली ईश्वर के सामने विनम्र बने रहें, जिससे वह आप को उपयुक्त समय में ऊपर उठाये।" (1 पेत्रुस 5:6)। आइए हम सावधान रहें कि हम हमेशा नम्रता से ईश्वर की कृपा प्राप्त करने के लिए उसकी ओर देखें।

📚 REFLECTION
One of the strongest messages in the Bible is the truth that God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. It is a message so important that it appears three times in Scripture, first in Proverbs 3:34, and then twice repeated by Apostles James and Peter in their writing and which we take for our reflection from today’s reading, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
It is a simple fact that we certainly should not be a part of anything God resists. It is much better and safer to be on the side of humility in which we receive God’s grace. But what exactly does it mean to be proud or to be humble? The life and conduct of king named Uzziah in Bible will help us understand humility and pride which pleases and abhors God respectively.
In the beginning of the reign of King Uzziah over the nation of Judah, he acted in a manner that pleased the Lord. Second Chronicles 26:5 explains that “as long as he sought the LORD, God made him prosper”. God helped him and as a result, Uzziah’s fame spread to far lands.
Sadly, however, “But when [Uzziah] he had become strong he grew proud, to his destruction. (2 Chronicles 26:16). Uzziah entered the temple to burn incense before the Lord, a practice which God had reserved strictly for the priests. He disobeyed the law of the Lord, perhaps deciding in himself that his greatness had earned his right to do so. When the priests confronted the king about his prideful mistake, Uzziah became furious, and God struck him with leprosy. Uzziah remained a leper for the rest of his life and lived in an isolated house until his death.
This account demonstrates the truth that those who become prideful will fall.
We may not be kings today, but we can learn from their examples. A major factor that determines our success or failure is whether we display pride or humility. Instead of depending on our own strength, we should humbly look to the Lord for help.
By nature, we are prideful people, but we can walk in humility with God’s help. “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God so that he may exalt you in due time.”(1 Peter 5:6). Let’s be careful to always humbly look to God to receive His grace.

आज के सुसमाचार में येसु अपने शिष्यों को सारी सृष्टि में सुसमाचार सुनाने का आदेश देते है। इसके साथ येसु सुसमाचार घोषणा के साथ साथ होने वाली विभिन्न चिन्ह एवं चमत्कार के विषय में बताते है। जो व्यक्ति अपने जीवन को सुसमाचार के लिए अर्पित करता है उनके जीवन में हम कई अद्भुद कार्य और चमत्कार को होते हुए हम देखते हैं। अपने सम्पूर्ण जीवन में सुसमाचार घोषणा करने वाले सभी प्रेरितों और संतो ने अपने जीवन में ईश्वर की आत्मा को कार्य करते हुए अनुभव किया।
हम सभी अपने जीवन के सभी मुद्दों तथा समस्याओं को सुलझने हेतु किसी चमत्कार या अद्भुत कार्य की आश करते है। यदि हम सुसमाचार घोषणा के लिए अपना जीवन येसु को समर्पित करते हैं तो येसु हमरे जीवन के सभी मुद्दों एवं समस्याओं का ध्यान रखेगा।
आज के पहले पाठ में पेत्रुस ईश्वर ़के विधान के अनुसार बुलाये गये लोगों को हिदायत देते है कि विनम्रता का पालन करों; सारी चिन्ताएॅं ईश्वर पर छोड़ दो; साथ ही साथ जागत रहें क्योंकि शत्रु, शैतान, विचरता और ढूॅंढ़ता रहता है कि किसे फाड़ खाये। शत्रु का सामना करने तथा थोड़ा दुख भोगने के बाद ईश्वर स्वयं हमें परिपूर्ण, सुस्थिर, समर्थ तथ सुदृढ़ बनायेगा। पेत्रुस की यह सलाह उन सभी लोगो पर बहुत सटीक तरह से लागू होती है जिन्होने अपना जीवन सुसमाचार घोषणा में समर्पित कर दिया। पेत्रुस की यह सलाह हमें यह सिखातीे है कि यदि हम विनम्रता, ईश्वर पर निर्भरता, शैतान या पाप का सामना तथा थोड़ा दुख भोगते है तो ईश्वर सदा हमें सुसमाचार घोषणा में सुस्थिर, समर्थ तथा सुद्ढ़ बनाये रखेगा। आईये पेत्रुस द्वारा दिये गये सलाह का पालन करते हुए हम अपने आप को सुसमाचार घोषणा के लिए ईश्वर का साधन बनाये तथा अपने जीवन में ईश्वर के कार्याे का अनुभव करें। आमेन

📚 REFLECTION
In today’s Gospel Jesus commissioned the eleven to proclaim the gospel to whole creation. And he assured the accompaniment of many signs and miracles along with the proclamation. Those who give their lives in proclamation we can see the wonders and miracles happening in their lives. All the apostles and saints who proclaimed the gospel experienced the spirit of God working in their lives.
We always think of a miracle or wonder to happen in our lives to solve the issues and complication of our lives. If we give our lives to Jesus for proclamation then all the issues and complexity of our lives be taken care by Jesus.
In today’s first reading Peter wrote to God’s elect and instructed them to practice the virtue of humility and to cast all the anxiety on God, at the same time be alert because the enemy the devil is always looking for someone to devour. If we resist him and suffer a little then at God himself will give strength, support and establish us. This advice of Peter is very relevant for all those who give their lives for the proclamation of gospel. This advice teaches that the God will always strengthen us and support us in our proclamation if we practice humility, dependence on God, resisting the evil work that is sin and enduring the suffering. Let’s make ourselves as God’s instrument for the proclamation by practicing the instruction given by St. Peter and experience the God’s working hand in our lives. Amen
